  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: breadcrumbs for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken by patting it dry with paper towels and seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Layer the seasoned chicken breasts in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken, ensuring every piece is coated.
  6. Add shredded cheese generously over the top.
  7. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the cheese layer (if using).
  8. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Rest the dish for about 5 minutes before serving.
