  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh cilantro (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by gathering the chicken breasts in a large zip-top bag. Pour in the lime juice, olive oil, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Seal the bag and shake to coat.
  2. Prepare to cook by preheating your grill to medium-high or oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease the grill grates or a baking dish.
  3. Cook the chicken on the grill for 6-8 minutes on each side or bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. Rest the chicken for 5 minutes after cooking, then sprinkle with cilantro before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
