Creamy Crack Chicken Casserole

A comforting, creamy casserole made with shredded chicken, savory bacon, and a tangy ranch dressing that brings everyone together.

  • 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken breast
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (about 6 oz)
  • ½ cup sour cream (optional but recommended)
  • 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat for about 7-10 minutes until crispy.
  3. Mix the softened cream cheese and ranch dressing in a large bowl until smooth.
  4. Shred the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Combine the shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, half of the cheddar cheese, sour cream, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in the bowl. Fold gently to mix.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  7. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
  9. Serve and enjoy with optional extra green onions on top.

Notes

This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge. It also freezes well for about 3 months.
