Irresistible Ham and Cheese Sticks

Delicious crispy puff pastry filled with savory ham and melted cheese, brushed with mustard and sprinkled with parsley.

  • 1 sheet thawed puff pastry
  • 8 slices deli ham
  • 1 cup cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large beaten egg
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Cut the pastry into 3×5 inch rectangles.
  4. Layer the ham and cheese in the center of each rectangle.
  5. Add a tiny dollop of Dijon mustard on top of the cheese.
  6. Fold the pastry over the filling and pinch edges to seal.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  8. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with dipping sauce for extra flavor.
