Kiwi Mint Cold Brew Green Tea

A refreshing and vibrant drink made with cold brewed green tea, ripe kiwis, and fresh mint, perfect for warm afternoons.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 4 green tea bags or 2 tablespoons loose leaf green tea
  • 2 ripe kiwis, peeled and thinly sliced
  • A handful of fresh mint leaves
  • Honey or another sweetener to taste (optional)
  • Ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  1. Cold Brew the Tea: In a large pitcher or jar, pour in your cold water. Drop in the green tea bags or add the loose leaf tea using a tea infuser. Cover it and let it steep in the refrigerator for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
  2. Prepare the Kiwi and Mint: While your tea is brewing, peel your kiwis and slice them thinly. Toss a few slices in the pitcher to enhance the infusion.
  3. Get Your Mint Ready: Take your handful of fresh mint leaves and gently slap or twist between your hands to release their oils, then add them into the pitcher with the brewing tea and kiwis.
  4. Strain and Sweeten: Once your tea has steeped, remove the tea bags or strain out the loose leaves. Adjust sweetness to taste with honey or preferred sweetener.
  5. Serving Time: Fill a glass with ice cubes or frozen kiwi cubes. Pour your tea over the ice and garnish with mint and kiwi slices.

Notes

The flavors only improve the next day, making it an excellent make-ahead option for gatherings. Adjust the sweetener to your taste preference.
