  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder (for the Red Lobster touch)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine cooked chicken, frozen mixed vegetables, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and chicken broth in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Transfer the filling into a greased casserole or baking dish.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  5. Add cold, cubed unsalted butter and work into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Fold in shredded cheddar cheese and then add milk, stirring until just combined.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough over the chicken filling.
  8. Sprinkle garlic powder over the biscuit topping.
  9. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown.
  10. Let the dish rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
