Fresh Agua Fresca

A vibrant and refreshing traditional Mexican beverage made with seasonal fruits, perfect for cooling down on hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Fruit (Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Mango, or Pineapple)
  • Fresh Lime Juice
  • Water (or Coconut Water)
  • Sweetener (Agave Syrup or Honey)
  • Fresh Mint or Basil

Instructions

  1. Prepare your fruit: Begin by cutting your chosen fruit into small chunks.
  2. Blend the ingredients: In your blender, combine the fruit chunks with 2 cups of water and the juice of 2 fresh limes.
  3. Sweeten to taste: Depending on your taste buds, add 1 to 4 tablespoons of agave syrup or honey.
  4. Strain the mixture (optional): If you like your Agua Fresca smooth, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve.
  5. Chill and serve: Place the pitcher in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, then serve over ice.
  6. Enjoy: Sip and relish your refreshing Agua Fresca!

Notes

Agua Fresca can last in the fridge for 2-3 days. It’s best served chilled without ice added until serving.
