Angel Chicken and Rice Casserole

A warm and comforting casserole that combines shredded chicken, creamy soups, and rice for a delicious family meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, melted butter, and onion soup mix in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the shredded chicken and uncooked rice, stirring until well coated.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and mix until incorporated.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and optionally sprinkle cheese on top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 45 to 50 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let the casserole rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
