Melt-In-Your-Mouth Chicken

A comforting dish featuring tender chicken breasts smothered in a rich, creamy sauce, perfect for any cozy evening.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and pat the chicken dry.
  2. Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika over both sides of the chicken.
  3. Combine the cream of chicken soup and sour cream in a bowl until smooth, then fold in the shredded cheese.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken in a greased oven-proof dish and cover with the creamy cheese mixture.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and sprinkle on reserved cheese before baking for an additional 15-20 minutes.
  6. Let the chicken rest for five minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with fluffy mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables. For additional flavor, consider adding fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon.
