  • 1 Egg, whisked
  • Vegetable Oil for Frying

  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. Milk

  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Roll Out the Puff Pastry: Lightly dust your work surface with flour and roll out each sheet of puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thickness.
  2. Cut into Shapes: Use a donut cutter to cut out donut shapes and gather scraps to re-roll.
  3. Prepare the Frying Oil: Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry the Donuts: Carefully add the donuts to the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Drain and Cool: Remove the donuts and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  6. Whip Up the Glaze: Combine powdered sugar, milk, salt, and vanilla extract in a bowl and whisk until smooth.
  7. Glaze the Donuts: Dunk each warm donut in the glaze and let excess drip off before placing on a wire rack.
