A whimsical treat perfect for any occasion, these Monster Cookies are loaded with oats, chocolate, and colorful candy eyes!

  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups of old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the butter and sugars: In a large mixing bowl, add the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Cream them together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla: Crack the eggs into the bowl and pour in the vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to your wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in the oats and chocolate chips: Add the oats and chocolate chips into the dough and fold them in gently.
  6. Add the candy eyes: Gently fold in the candy eyes, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop the dough: Drop generous portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Cool: Let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

For a nutty flavor, consider adding chopped nuts. These cookies are versatile and can be made gluten-free by using a gluten-free flour blend.
