Ultimate Chocolate Pumpkin Bread

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the pumpkin puree, sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until smooth.
  4. Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon into another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry mixture into the wet mixture gently until no dry spots remain.
  6. Add the chocolate chips and fold them in evenly.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
